Our magnificent establishment, is situated only 70 kilometres from Umhlanga along the Dolphin Coast of Kwa Zulu Natal .The King Chaka International Airport is a 25 minute drive away from us.
KEARSNEY MANOR, a grand old Colonial Mansion, was built in the late 1800’s by Sir Liege Hulett and his sons. The homestead is situated up high amongst the rolling green hills of an original sugar estate. Inland, approximately 10 kilometres from the sea, but far away from the rush of traffic, noise or pollution.
The Manor, which once housed the original Kearsney Boys College, has now been declared a Heritage Site. KEARSNEY MANOR has been restored to the Historic Beauty of the Period, reveal ing the glorious original leaded stained glass windows, unique Royal Doulton Tiled Fireplaces and magnificent wooden carved staircase and mantle pieces. The intricate hand–layed floor tiles are an art feature of their own! This is really a National Treasure to be appreciated.
While the men and boys are out PLAYING GOLF, VISIT THE CASINO, riding mountain or quad bikes, micro-lights, river rafts , going hiking, deep sea fishing and scuba diving, the ladies can enjoy some PAMPERING AND TREATMENTS in our spa or enjoy TASTY HIGH-TEAS and be taken to the beach, or SHOPPING and go sight seeing in game reserves, visit places of interest in the vicinity.
For children to enjoy, we have a gym, swimming pool, trampoline and a private collection of parrots and exotic birds to view. Animal farms, a Reptile park, horse riding and the beach is within 25 kilometres.
The beautiful old Stone Chapel has tremendous character and comfortably seats 100 people. KEARSNEY MANOR offers the perfect venue for the intimate wedding, conferences and special occasions. We have 17 double rooms mostly en suite. Other facilities are, TV rooms, games room, lounge areas, residents Bar, swimming pool, trampoline, abundant bird life, beautiful walks and absolute tranquillity.
Major credit cards are welcome. Breakfast is served in the dining room. Dinner as well as light lunches or picnic baskets are available on request.
